What is The Refinery?
The Refinery is a dynamic, affordable work environment for entrepreneurs, non-profits, remote workers, small businesses, contractors, start-ups, students, and all other types of independent professionals.
What type of workers and groups can join?
Everyone! Designers, salespeople, non-profits, strategists, writers, realtors, contractors, creatives, CPAs, techies, solo practitioners, students, marketers, architects, and entrepreneurial change-makers of all types. The Refinery is also simply a great place for workers who need a change from the home office, car, or cafe.
Can I join The Refinery if I am not a resident of Marion?
Yes! We are happy to have members from across the state and region.
How much is a membership?
Membership plans are in the process of being restructured but will be released March 1, 2018. If interested in making a membership before that date, please send an email to riley@therefinerycenter.com with "Refinery Membership" in the subject line.
Can I make payments on my annual membership?
Sorry, membership is due in full at the time you join. Don’t worry, trust us, it’s worth it. However, we do have a monthly options.
Can I have my own desk at The Refinery?
Yes, with an additional cost beyond the basic membership, you can have a dedicated desk with 24/7 access.
What are the hours?
The Refinery is open to members 24/7 with a key FOB. For guests and walk-in visits, the Refinery is open 2 pm - 5 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
What amenities come with my membership?
The Refinery members have in-house access to lightning fast wi-fi, copy/scan/print services, and a variety of work and meeting spaces – from comfortable lounge areas for casual discussions to team spaces and conference rooms. We are also working towards adding a host of awesome meet-ups, events, and opportunities to engage with other members and the entrepreneurial community.

The Refinery is located in the heart of Marion within minutes of dining and shopping. Additionally, Indiana Wesleyan University and Taylor University are located nearby.

How much does it cost to reserve a meeting room?
Free! There is no cost to The Refinery members for the use of the conference rooms.
Does The Refinery offer mail services?
Yes, for an additional price per year.
I am looking for a job, looking to hire for a job, or would just like to know who is at The Refinery. Do you share the member list?
We do not distribute our membership list at this time. We are working diligently to create a best practice method for connecting our members with one another and to the public as well.
Can I use The Refinery if I'm not a member?
Yes, we offer one-time-use day passes to non-members to “test drive” The Refinery. Drop on by!

Can anyone hold an event at The Refinery?
Yes. Our event space is open to anyone, as long as it is properly scheduled and/or rented. Please see our EVENTS page for more information. Have a non-profit or special situation? Let us know and we’ll do everything we can to make our space accessible for you and your event.
How do you handle security?
Our space offers several levels of security for our members and their belongings. The office is fully secure with the only access being for our members who have 24/7 access. Our security system logs the entry of every user. We aren’t in the business of catching dishonest people, so our security efforts are directed towards creating a safe and respectful work environment and simply deterring any type of inappropriate behavior.
